Cambridge Open Days

The University of Cambridge and the Colleges open their doors to prospective Year 12 (or equivalent) and mature applicants for two days in July.

We would recommend visiting Cambridge to attend an open day to get a feel for the University, and to have any specific questions answered. There are also subject-specific Masterclasses, College open days, other events available.  Find out more at

The dates of this year's Virtual University Open Days are Thursday 2nd and Friday 3rd July 2020. Please visit the Virtual Open Days website where you can sign up and view the programme.

Subject Masterclasses

There are subject specific Masterclasses running throughout the year.  Details of these can be found here:

College Open Days

College open days give you the opportunity to get a sense of what College life is like, and to pick up a wide range of useful information (visiting a particular College doesn’t commit you to applying to that College). Find out more here.

Sutton Trust Summer Schools

Sutton Trust Summer Schools are free, subject-specific, residential courses for Year 12 students studying at state-maintained schools in the UK. The five-day summer schools in July and August allow students to explore their interest in one of 26 subjects and gain an insight into what it is like to live and study as a first-year undergraduate student at Cambridge. Find out more here.

Oxford and Cambridge Conferences

Each year, the Universities of Cambridge and Oxford organise a series of regional, joint conferences for Year 12 (or equivalent) students, and their teachers and HE advisers. The Conferences are normally held in March and are designed to provide up-to-date information on courses, the application and admissions procedure and student life at both Universities. Find out more here.
