Tripos News

HSPS Part I students awarded The Winifred Georgina Holgate Pollard Memorial Prizes, 2017

The prizes were awarded to: Caitlin R. Allt (Robinson), Alice C. Hawkins (King's), Isabelle R.T. Higgins (Lucy Cavendish) and Molly J. Judd (Gonville and Caius).

“I am delighted that the University has recognized Caitlin, Alice, Isabelle and Molly’s exceptional performances in the HSPS Part I examination by awarding them Holgate Pollard Memorial Prizes. These four candidates came at the top of a very large and competitive field of Part I students, and took papers stretching across the whole range of HSPS subjects – Archaeology, Biological Anthropology, Politics and International Relations, Social Anthropology, and Sociology. We are proud of their performances and wish them all the best in their Part II studies.”  Dr Peter Sloman, Chair of the HSPS Part I Examiners, 2016-17
