Course structure

Year 1

In your first year (Part I) you choose three papers from a wide range of topics offered in Politics and International Relations, Social Anthropology, and Sociology. 

Your fourth paper can be either from Politics and International Relations, Social Anthropology, and Sociology. Or you can choose a paper from the Archaeology Tripos or the Psychological and Behavioural Sciences Tripos.

 

Years 2 and 3

In your second and third years (Part II), you still take four papers, but you must choose to follow one of three single-subject 'tracks' or one of three joint 'tracks'. 

Single tracks:

  • Politics and International Relations
  • Social Anthropology
  • Sociology

Joint tracks:

  • Politics and Sociology
  • Sociology and Social Anthropology
  • Sociology and Criminology*
  • Social Anthropology and Politics
